Setting Up The Aquarium!

Spent quite some time setting up my neglected aquarium and it doesn't come cheap too! Besides I could use some time starring at them fishes. They're awesome! Anyway, had planted the greens, arranged the rocks, spread out the sands, soil and filters. Now, all that I need are the fishes.

So I went shopping for some Mountain and Neon Tetras. Got some of them Ghost and Cherry shrimps too! Who would have guessed that Cherry shrimps costs a buck fifty each!

Aliens

The "Aliens" exhibition exhibited at MITC, Melaka is a one time visit kind of an exhibition. Not worth a second visit. You have the normal admission fees but there's also royalty charges if you wish to bring in a camera or two! So you know, there are four items brought over from Universal Studios.

The full scale Alien Queen from Universal Studios, greets you as you enter the exhibition hall.

The real shit up close and personal. Doesn't get any much cooler than this.

Then there's the Ewok from Star Wars, The Return Of The Jedi.

The Predator's head.

Lastly, the Alien from X-Files.

There are still tons of other cool exhibits as you roam around the exhibition hall such as these cool creatures from our deep sea oceans.

I Love RAW!

I finally did RAW! Though the processing is a little troublesome to get used to but I am amazed at the end results! The images below are photographed using RAW.

Infrared Test

I borrowed IK's Infrared filter for some tests and amazingly the 400D isn't totally oblivious to infrared. So I might get one soon and maybe an NR filter if I have the extra cash!

Indication For A Lightning Storm?

Take a look at my freaking hair! How did I manage to get myself that much electrostatic charge? If this is an indication for a lightning storm to come, I'd be the first to get zap! Holy crap!

Indeed, the lightning storm came later that night!

The Taming Sari Tower

So I went up the revolving tower, "The Taming Sari" yesterday. Melaka's very own signature tower which stands at 110 meters tall with a viewing radius of 5 kilometers. The platform will take you up to the top in about a minute, then spin around the axis for another five minutes and then a minute to journey back down to solid ground.

Something for those who has yet to try the tower!

19" LG Flatron L1953S & Photoshop Express

While I was scurrying around for a new LCD monitor on Wednesday, Adobe had decided to release it's Photoshop Express on Thursday.

First of, my brand new LG Flatron L1953S, 19 inches of 5:4 ratio goodness instead of the widescreen, 16:9 ratio. I wouldn't take widescreen on an 19 inch screen as it does not have the necessary height in resolution. It would totally suck! I would take on a widescreen though if I were to get a 22 inch monitor instead.

On another note, you should have already checked out Adobe's recently launched Photoshop Express. If you had not, read this and this! Best of all, it's free. If Photoshop Express isn't to your liking, you might want to try out Picnik. I've signed up for both and they are both excellent at getting things done!
